An Inviting Escape
Come and experience the graciousness of a previous age. Built in 1917, The Post Cottage has been restored and preserved to evoke it's rich history while offering its guests an array of luxurious modern comforts.
Guests at our Catskill, NY, Bed and Breakfast will enjoy our spacious rooms with king-sized beds, fireplaces, and private en-suite bathrooms. We take pride in serving generous gourmet breakfasts. Stroll The Post Cottage’s park-like grounds, and play a set of tennis on our private court.
The Post Cottage is located next door to Cedar Grove, which is a National Historic Site and the home of Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of painting. Just across the Hudson River is Olana, the Persian style mansion of Frederic Edwin Church, another famed Hudson River School artist. We are a walk away from Catskill’s shops and restaurants, just across the river from Hudson, NY’s famous antique shops, and well situated to ski at Hunter and Windham or explore any destination in the Catskill Mountains.
